Ok... technically this Throwback Third Thursday (#tbtt) is a bit belated as it's the FOURTH Thursday, and not the third, but I was at a conference last week and I didn't bring my computer with me so posting wasn't happening. It's been an exhausting month. It started off with 2 weeks visiting family and friends in California (and sneaking off to Vegas for the 4th). Then, last week I was at the North American Congress for Conservation Biology in Madison, Wisconsin. The theme was communication science for conservation action and throughout the week I learned a lot and met so many people I could barely keep track. Now I'm back in Texas, doing my best to get back into the swing of things and not melt from all this heat and humidity. So in the spirit of trying to keep cool....
