The year was 1996. It was the second day of seventh grad and my second day back in public school when I sat down in my assigned seat in Mrs. Garfinkle’s second period Algebra class and realized the girl sitting in front of me was the same girl standing in front of me in first period P.E. (thank goodness for alphabetical order seating). This trend continued for three more classes and a beautiful friendship began!
For over 17 years Megan has been by my side for adventure after adventure. Our friendship has survived going to different high schools, college in different states, traveling while abroad and the ever so awkward transition from teenagers to whatever we are now (adults, I guess). I have had some of the most memorable moments of my life with that crazy lady!
We are again living in different states but our connection can never be broken. This past weekend Megan came to visit me in Texas and, as per usual, adventure ensued. So really, as much as her husband wants to think that they are soul mates (I love you Steve), we all know who the real one is ;)
